Africa’s biggest pop star Wizkid together with a few guys (Terri, Ceeza Milli, Spotless) came together to make a song called ‘Soco’. The bubbly beat was put together by fast-rising beatmaker NorthBoi. Slowly ‘Soco’ grew on everyone and it became a monster hit in the country. It is the most searched song on Google, most viewed Nigerian music video on YouTube all year long. Need I say more?
2- Burna Boy – Ye
In our list of hottest Nigerian artistes, Burna Boy was our number one, man had some of the best songs released in 2018. ‘Ye’ is one outstanding track from his ‘Outside’ album. The tune gained more popularity in the US when Kanye West put out an album of the same title. Everyone knows the line ‘this one na gbedu wey dey japata…’ Enough said.
