Forbes Officially Confirms Kanye West a Billionaire…
After months of requests, the hip-hop superstar shared financial records, revealing details about his wildly popular Yeezy sneaker empire — and his fixation on outside validation.
American business magazine, Forbes, reports that American hiphop superstar, Kanye West, is officially a billionaire.
According to the magazine, it had requested, several times, for the rappers financial statements but he rescinded the request.
However, the Ye crooner finally gave in, revealing details about his wildly popular Yeezy sneaker empire — and his fixation on outside validation.
Forbes began re-assessing West’s value after the rapper complained not being featured on their billionaires’ list, while his sister-in-law Kylie Jenner, was recently names “world’s youngest self-made billionaire” for the second year in row.
“When I did Forbes, I showed them a $890 million receipt and they still didn’t say ‘billionaire..,” West said during an appearance at the 2019 Fast Company Innovation Festival.
The Chicago native even accused the publication of being “a part of a group of media” attempting to “suppress his self-made narrative because of his race.”
