Kim Kardashian’s Bodyguard Sued for $6.1M Over Paris Robbery
The “KUWTK” star’s former security chief, Pascal Duvier, is being sued for $6.1 million for negligence after her Parisian robbery at gunpoint.
Kim Kardashian’s bodyguard, Pascal Duvier, and his company Protect Security have been accused by her insurer, AIG, of negligence in adequately protecting the star’s private apartment, according to a report by the BBC.
It appears the insurance company is hoping to recover the $6.1 million it paid Kardashian for jewellery robbed from Kardashian at gunpoint on October 3 2016 during Paris Fashion Week.
Five men disguised as police put a gun to Kardashian’s head, robbing her of $11 million of jewellery before gagging her, tying her up, and locking her in a bathroom.
In the lawsuit, a copy of which was obtained by TMZ, AIG lambasted Duvier and his company for their inadequate protection of the private apartment where Kim Kardashian was staying in the Hôtel de Pourtalès.
In particular, the insurer noted the absence of a lock on the entrance’s gate, a broken intercom and a lack of training regarding security.
At the time the robbery took place, Duvier was accompanying Kim Kardashian’s two sisters, Kourtney and Kendall, to a nightclub.
