Lil Wayne Finally Drops Tha Carter V Album
Famous rapper Lil Wayne has finally released his much-anticipated new album ‘Tha Carter V’ – four years after it was originally planned to be available.
Tha Carter V is a significant moment in Wayne’s career for more than just his difficult time putting it out.
The album is described as a direct follow-up to 2011’s ‘Tha Carter IV’ and was delayed due to contractual disputes between Wayne and Cash Money Records, as well as a personal situation between the rapper and his label head Birdman. The rapper sued the latter for $51 million in order to be released from his contract.
The album is his first to not be released by Cash Money Records, ending a run that lasted two decades.
