Naira Marley In Court For Violating Interstate Travel Ban…
Marlian Music boss Naira Marley has been arraigned before a court after violating the interstate travel ban back in June.
The ‘As E Dey Go‘ crooner performed at Jabi Lake Mall, Abuja after flying in from Lagos despite the strict regulation on interstate travel.
Consequently, the concert caused outrage from Nigerians online which led to the suspension of ExecuJet Airline and the shut down of Jabi Lake Mall by the relevant government agencies.
As reported by Punch Newspaper, the Inspector-General of Police had ordered the arrest of the singer.
The Lagos State Police Command PRO, Mr Bala Elkana also told Punch that Naira Marley submitted himself today Thursday August 6 at the force headquarters and would later be arraigned in court.
“We are in court as we speak. He will be arraigned for violating the interstate travel order. That is the aspect that concerns Lagos State,” he added.
