South African Rapper, AKA Reacts To Burna Boy’s Grammy Loss…
Popular South African rapper, AKA has reacted to Burna Boy losing a Grammy Award to veteran singer, Angelique Kidjo.
The rapper and Burn had a clash on social media a few months ago after he made some insensitive remarks about the Xenophobic attacks on Nigerians in South Africa. As a result of the clash, both artistes declared war on each other and ended their long-time friendship.
However, in reaction to the “Anybody” singer losing the Grammy award, AKA took to Twitter to reveal that he never hated the singer and went on to call him a champion despite not winning.
He wrote, “I never hated Burna Boy. All I did was stand up for my country. I think it’s time to move past this narrative. It’s tired. Like I said, even a nomination is a huge achievement. What you should have done is focus on the positive instead of thinking about me and my country. In any case, Burna is still a champion. We still consider him a winner.”
