Felabration 2018 (Double Wahala)
Felabration at Freedom Park Lagos is an annual festival of music and arts commemorating the life and times of Nigerian’s foremost musical icon, the late great Fela Anikulakpo Kuti. Therefore, as we celebrate Fela Anikulakpo Kuti’s posthumously at 80, we seek to empower the people through art, dance, music and intellectual discourse with the belief that together we shall succeed in ‘Overtaking Overtake’ Felabration 2018 At Freedom Park Lagos, 15th – 21 October 2018.
Theme is “DOUBLE WAHALA” an addendum to the general Felabration theme “Overtaking Overtake”. This year will mark the 80th posthumous birthday and 21 years after the passing away of the Legend Fela Kuti and the Felabration Organizing Committee for Freedom Park venue have planned to wow guests at the park. As part of the festival packages for Freedom Park, over 50bands from home and abroad who had indicated willingness to perform at the festival. Premium Artists like Femi Kuti, Omawunmi, Newen Afrobeat band from Chile, Wole Oni, and Freedom Five Band.
