Burna Boy Gets Plaque From O2 Academy For His Sold Out Show

Nigerian afro-fusion singer, Burna Boy has a plaque from O2 Academy, Brixton, after a very successful LOTOUK show.

Burna Boy received a plaque from AMG in recognition of his sold-out show on Sunday, 7th October.

AMG congratulated the artiste on not just selling out the entire O2 (which holds 4,921 people at maximum capacity), but also putting on a brilliant and safe performance.

The sold out numbers were confirmed by Nielsen – a global measurement and data analytics company that provides the most complete and trusted statistics available for consumers and markets worldwide.

The concert at the O2 Academy was the 4th stop on Burna Boy’s Life on the Outside UK tour. Tonight, he will be performing at Southampton.

He (Burna Boy) took to Instagram to share the good news. He captioned the post;

Sold out status!!? – Thanks for the love @o2academybrix #LOTOUK

Visuals of the singer performing on stage while the crowd took over his performance has gone viral as YE! became a national anthem.

Burna was also praised by DMW boss, Davido, who described him as a rare gem in the industry.
