After the decent success David Adeleke widely known as Davido amassed last year, from the success, hit singles like “BLOW MY MIND” had on airways and streaming platforms which was an excellent collaborative effort with pop star Chris Brown.

Also, the famous turnaround he had making a comical freestyle into a major hit titled “RISKY” with Jamaica’s poster boy, Popcaan, we could all agree 2019 wasn’t a year to overlook for the DMW Boss.

Though we could say he’s had better years definitely where there were better numbers recorded and despite the inclusion of the Project, “A GOOD TIME” which was his second studio album, 2019 still couldn’t be regarded as top 2 greatest years for Papa Ifeanyi for reasons not alien to us.

2020 is the well anticipated year famous for its futuristic promises and expectations, and talking about expectations. It’s human nature to expect a certified superstar as Davido to step up his game yearly especially when the previous year wasn’t so much of a sensation but that hasn’t been the case so far judging from the cricket chirping that could be heard around the records he’s dropped since the beginning of the year including;

Still we dare not to write off the year for Award winning superstar because it’s “Davido”, a musical magic performer that could easily pull up a few tricks from his hat of hits, and that’s becoming to look apparent from his recent announcement of a major collaboration with the ultimate “Queen of American Hip Hop” – Nicki Minaj which promises to be a classic.

Also his disclosure on his forthcoming 3rd studio album “A BETTER TIME” which is stated to be released by July so despite his slow run to the year, he doesn’t appear any close to being washed up, in fact, he just might be dominating the scene for the rest of the year but that’s no assurance yet, we’d just have to keep our fingers crossed and anticipate the next trick the Adeleke magician has up his sleeves.
