Happy Birthday J.Cole!!!
Today, January 28 is the prominent American rapper Jermaine Lamarr Cole’s birthday; also known as J Cole. He is the only rap star to have gone platinum with no features within the last 5-years, with three albums (2014 Forest Hills Drive, 4 Your Eyez Only, and the most recent one; King Overdose K.O.D).
Mr. Cole has been consistently solidifying his legacy ever since he signed a deal with JayZ’s record label, Roc Nation in 2009. Although, he has his own record label, Dreamville; with label mateslike Bas, J.I.D, Coz, Omen, and so on.
He has been known to idolize old-school rappers like NAS, 2pac, Notorious BIG, Eminem, etc. He has about five Sophomore albums in his catalogue, and has released three mixtapes. J.Cole is indeed one of the greatest rappers of all time, because rap-fanatics never debate without mentioning his name alongside other rappers like Kendrick Lamar, Drake, Wale amongst few other new-school rappers.
Last year after having dropped his ‘KOD’ album, Nigeria was the first place he visited to perform some of the tracks off the album.
